The Italian candidacy to host the 60th IChO in 2028 has received its first approval from the International Steering Committee
As President of the Società Chimica Italiana (SCI), I am pleased to share that the Italian candidacy to host the 60th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in 2028, to be held in Messina, has received its first approval from the International Steering Committee.
The Committee members were unanimously impressed by our proposal and expressed great enthusiasm for Italy’s vision and commitment. This represents an important milestone, and we now look forward to the feedback of the International Jury of the IChO.
The IChO is the most prestigious international competition in chemistry for secondary school students, bringing together outstanding young talents from around the world. Approximately 100 countries are expected to participate in this inspiring event, jointly organized by the Società Chimica Italianaand the University of Messina.
