The 2028 will be the 60^th edition of the IChO, and we are thrilled to announce that this exciting event will take place in Messina, Italy!

It is an honor and a pleasure to host 100+ countries and 400+ students, mentors, and observers from all over the world in such a unique location as the picturesque Italian city of Messina.

Our mission - to support young chemistry talent worldwide - could not have found a better home than in Italy, the land of science, art, and innovation. It will be the historic gateway between the European and Mediterranean worlds where the IChO 2028 will take place.

Hosted by one of Italy’s most dynamic academic institutions: the University of Messina . The opening and closing ceremonies of the games will be hold in the Milazzo Castle and in the Ancient Greek Theater of Taormina respectively, two of the main historical attractions - meeting points between scientific excellence and Mediterranean hospitality, in the presence of an amazing natural and cultural landscape. A perfect mix of people from all over the world with a rich and dynamic history.
